C25K: Failed W5D2

Today was Week 5 Day 2 of Couch to 5K and for the first time, I wasn't able to finish the whole run. Today's run was: 5 minute warm-up, 8 minute jog, 5 minute walk, 8 minute jog, 5 minute cool down.

The first 8 minute run went fine, though it was hard. But I wasn't able to finish the second one. I ran for about half of it and then had to walk the rest.

I'm disappointed, but it's all right. Nothing wrong with having to repeat a day, which I will do on Thursday. I'll try to go without the jogging stroller, I'm sure it'll help.

    When I did that program I had to walk and repeat them a lot. But I kept going and I'm doing a 5k in a few weeks. You have a great attitude, just keep trying!

    I had to repeat that one too. Then I had to face the dreaded W5D3 run, the 20 minute run with no walking. I was able to run it though, and it wasn't as hard physically as it was mentally, believe it or not. I was so proud that I went around bragging to everyone how I was able to run for 20 minutes! And then, on W6D1, which is back to intervals, I had a hard time and had to repeat. Also had to repeat W6D2 twice.

Just finished W6D3 today, and did have to walk one minute of the 22 minutes of running, so I will repeat it again.

Don't give up! It will get better, you will be able to finish it! emoticon
