Although I still have a ways to go until I reach goal, I would like to say thank you to some very supportive people that have helped a lot during the last 6-8 months. That may sound strange since I haven't reached goal yet, but they have me supported me when I needed it most!
First off, my parents. They have been there every step of this journey. They are the first ones I call when I hit the scale for my weekly weigh-in. And lose or gain I have their support.
My son Josh who encourages me to do things I may have thought about, but also thought they were beyond my abilities.
Diane, Julee and Moni! You are all there through thick and thin-literally! LOL
Getting frustrated because I am stuck. Just drop a line to them and they are there no matter what.
Frances & Linda-These two ladies are some of the best support ever. We work together at a local non-profit. They listen, don't judge if I have a bit extra something and celebrate with me on the milestones along the way. When I have a set-back they are there to help me think things through. They are pointing out things in me that I suspected were there, but might never have gotten to know. In a couple of words, there have helped me grow in many so many ways.
The Spirited Underdogs and the 5% Challenges!- Who knew that 3 1/2 years ago when I received in invite to the challenge, that I would be a leader for one of the teams and lasted through12 or 14 challenges! And this time I got so close to my 5% goal I could taste it.
And thank you to me! I am starting to like the person I see when I look in the mirror. That hasn't always been the case. It wasn't just the weight either. It was the person inside who I never felt was quite good enough. I now know that isn't true. And for the first time since I joined SparkPeople, I have actual goals that aren't weight, exercise or food related. Imagine that! I want to climb a local mountain, start hiking in Franconia Notch at least once a month, and last but not least-a 2-day hicke with my son in the White Mountain National Forest! Pretty amazing for someone who 3 years ago would never have even considered any of these!
Thanks everyone of all the support!
