Good morning! I know I've been quiet for over a week, but I haven't disappeared, I promise! I didn't do so well with my tracking or eating while on vacation, but there's good news--when I weighed in yesterday I was exactly the same weight I was before I left.
With all that I ate I didn't gain an ounce! Must have been all the walking at LegoLand and Magic Kingdom and the playing around on the beach for days.
We all had such a great time and the wedding was beautiful. And I actually felt pretty good about myself for once, instead of feeling horribly self conscious. Her are a few pics:
I started Jillian Michaels Body Revolution yesterday. I'm not doing the Kickstart. Instead, I am going to do some other cardio in the evening so I don't get bored.
Week 1 - Current Measurements:
Upper Arm: 14.5
Waist to Hip Ratio: 0.73
On top of 30 minutes of Jillian yesterday I also did 30 minutes of interval cycling. I had stress fractures in both shins last year that prevented me from running or doing any other impact workouts and I got really lazy. Before I gave up on my workouts completely, though, I started using the Couch to 5k on my recumbent bike instead of running it. And I realized I like any kind of cycling more than running. So that's what I did last night, starting again from week 1 day 1. After the warmup I raised the tension almost all the way up and spent the next 20 minutes cycling between 13 and 23 mph and thinking I was going to die. LOL. But it was good.
I'm not that sore yet, but my soreness doesn't usually kick in until the second day. I'll likely wake up with my body screaming tomorrow. And I get to do it all over again today! LOL
We're going to Mt. Fuji for my husband's birthday tonight. At least I'll be able to eat without feeling guilty. I looked up the calories for the chicken hibachi meal with the rice and vegetables, and it comes in around 540 calories. Which is awesome! I can't wait!
