I guess all that work finally paid off...?

I've been working insane hours since last August. Most of what I do is behind the scenes. No glory. The people who interface with others get all the glory - and the grief.
Still, I like my job. It's interesting and challenging.

This morning I woke up to an email from someone at work whom I don't know well. She was asking if she'd see me at 2:00 today. Confused, I asked her why she was asking.

Apparently someone nominated a co-worker and me for "The Chancellor's Achievement Award" and today is the big reveal! Who knew?

Wish me luck!!

Didn't win, but it was nice to be nominated. That was totally ok.
And the guy who won deserved it and then some!
There was a whole round of pics and applause for the runners up.

I think people are watching even when we think they are not. Clearly your co-workers value the work you do.
