Refocusing---pretty great feeling!

Tuesday, April 30, 2013

So it's been a long time since I focused on me. It feels really great. The best part is the realization that by focusing on me it's actually helping me to focus on my family. ?!?!! REALLY? NO WAY! I never would have believed it!

It's very rewarding to get home from work, go for a walk and just relax. Tonight while Shari is at soccer, the plan is to get my fanny out there for another walk. I'm gonna push myself a little more tonight.

So far my very basic goals are on target, less calorie intake, more water intake. Did great yesterday and Sunday! Now onto today. Already tracking my food and water for the day. It's weird to eat breakfast so early, it used to be a My Favorite Muffin and a Diet Pepsi at my desk at work. Now it's breakfast at home with my vitamins and water. My stomach kinda rebelled today but it's gonna be fine.

I did 24 ounces of Diet Pepsi yesterday, today I'm moving to 12 and I've already bought that amount only. Brought my lunch and my snacks. Raspberries along with cauliflower too!

Let the focus continue!

Planning is the key. I find that I do better when I have my food planned out. Bringing lunch from home and eating a healthy breakfast is a great start. Keep the streak going!

Way to go! I cut out the Diet Coke last summer -- and am glad I did. Went "cold turkey" which was hard, but now I don't even want it when it's available. A couple times I drank a little, and found I didn't enjoy it like I used to. I'm sure I could get hooked again, though ... so staying away all together is better for me! And I AM hooked on my walks -- hope you get there, too!
