Never fails to surprise me how stiff my arms and shoulders (and butt) feel after the first few rounds of golf each spring.
I work 'em all at the gym.
I did more XC skiing than ever this past winter. Great upper AND lower body workout.
So how come I'm so stiff this morning after 9 holes Sunday, 9 holes last night?
Golf is supposed to be a "walk in the park" right? I do walk. And I pull my clubs on a cart (don't carry, don't ride a cart). Walking briskly however! And probably swinging way too many times . . . because I'm not a great golfer. (It's about the birds. The butterflies. The flowers. The big sky. The tiny details too. And incidentally, golf!)
So . . . it'll be fun to see how many rounds it takes (of course I generally play 18) before I feel in my "golfing form" and free of DOMS. I'm betting about 2 weeks . . . .
