Progress and waiting

Tuesday, April 30, 2013

From yesterday.

This morning:

I think it's just the sun was higher when I took it, but it looks greener, at least. One day. Waiting.

Five days to the Lincoln HM. Today's reminders:

Let it go.
Put one foot in front of another, and do what you CAN.
Drink that water.
Eat what's in the bag, it's why you packed it.

Take those break walks... you are worth it!

Looks every bit as green as your neighbors. Maybe some crab grass or creeping Jenny will kindly grow in the bare spots.
Onward, ever onward. You can do it!

I think it's supposed to look greener when you stand on the other side of the fence . . .

The yard will do whatever it will do in response to the effort you're willing to put into it. You just have to decide how much time and effort you want to put into the yard, as opposed to the other thousand things you want to spend time and effort on.

Did the sprinklers get fixed? Some of us have higher priorities than taking care of a huge lawn. Don't beat yourself up, do what you can and be happy. Have a great day.

Both pictures look a lot better than our garden ...
And I'm sure it will look better and better every day.

I used to work on ours a few years ago and made some progress, but it is a common garden and one of the neighbors made fire on the lawn (!), and then I gave up...

Good luck to your HM!

A work in progress, Barb. Hang in there. I like yardwork, but it does get to a point where there are other priorities. **SIGH**

My yard looks like that too. Maybe DH will get out there and plant grass seed today.

I'm getting excited about your HM, so I imagine you must really be excited!! Are you aiming for 2:30 or 2:45 this time? Bet you'll make whatever goal you set. You are making progress on the lawn; good for you. Wishing you green grass and happy running!! -Marsha

Hmmm. That grass IS looking distinctly more grassy -- got me worried for sure. It's conspiring against you to please the neighbours, right?

And: so glad you've had that same MYOB reaction to some of the Track Your Happiness questions!! Really!!

emoticon I think it might be the sun...
Weather should be perfect for the green stuff - cool and rainy (as long as it doesn't wash the seed away)
Didn't even think about biking the day before the marathon - does that fit into your plan?
