So today on Spark Coach, Chef Meg, who is a marathoner BTW, talked about how to shop in a healthy way. Now, I really did already know that shopping for your groceries on the perimeter of the store is the way to go...I just don't always do that. Unfortunately I can be a sucker for the 2 for 1 items. "Oh look...Lay's chips are buy one get one free!" That's where I seem to have the most trouble emoticon . I have to figure out that it is NOT a good deal when most of those chips will wind up in my mouth when I am tired or lonely or bored. My husband rarely even eats chips but I tell myself, when shopping that they will be for him. So, I continue to learn...and that is a good thing.

    I do a lot of my shopping on the perimeter and hardly ever wonder unless planning on pasta. I do go to the canned goods isle and pick up a few cans of veggies and to pick up stuff for baking but otherwise everything I get is from the perimeter. Unfortunately I am the one that has a weakness for sweets, which I buy but DH doesn't have a sweet tooth so I tend to eat more than I should. Good luck on your journey, make it one choice after another if one is bad the next doesn't have to be.

    I am right beside you buying the buy one get one free Lays. I love the suckers. My husband also loves chips but I know I will get into them too.
