Today is my 250th consecutive day of logging on to SparkPeople. My longest streak was 516 days, but that streak was broken when I went on my Alaskan Cruise in August. Losing my streak made me sad, but I am determined to keep going with my new streak!
My knee doesn't seem to be as sore today, so I'm looking forward to a leisurely lunchtime walk--I'll only do 3 miles instead of shooting for 4 during lunch today. Yesterday it was very painful, but I think that's because hubby and I walked 7.5 miles in the morning on Sunday, and then I biked the 6 mile round trip to my parent's house to take them their carrots from my trip to the grocery store on Saturday.
This afternoon should be fun. Our granddaughter will be here after work and we can play on her new swingset. She was so excited when she saw it on Friday and Saturday, and she loved helping Grumpa put it together. (Grumpa wasn't thrilled with her help, but she loved every minute of it LOL!)
I am the only one who can do this for myself.
I make the choice of what I put in my mouth and what I don't.
I make the choice to exercise or not daily
I make the choice to have a positive frame of mind
I make the choice to be healthy!
Goals for today:
~ read my mantra
~ work projects
~ 80 oz water
~ 10,000 steps
~ Enjoy time outside in the sunshine
~ find out how to use my twitter account! (still haven't gotten to this one yet!)
~ 15 flights of stairs
~ keep an open mind
~ journal every bite
~ weigh and measure food today
~ journal thoughts and feelings surrounding eating today
~ smile at least once an hour
~ learn something new and remember what I learned
~ eat a fruit or vegetable with every meal and as one snack today
~ laugh out loud today
~ focus on this lifestyle I have chosen for myself and don't sweat the small stuff
