Whole30, Day 12

Monday, April 29, 2013

So, I'm withdrawing from both my steroid/long-acting beta agonist inhaler and my antihistamine. I feel kinda congested & my face feels puffy...I'm also sleepy. I feel like I used to while still on my allergy/asthma meds, pre-paleo (i.e., it's not THAT bad, but worse than I was feeling over the weekend), but sleepier. I'm sure I'll feel better in a few days, but right now I feel a little blargh.

Otherwise things are good..I am having some very mild cravings, but it's getting close to TOM so that's to be expected. Normally you'd find me in the kitchen with a spoon & a jar of Nutella, but the cravings aren't even that bad. I did paleo-ify whipped cream last night for my fruit though (a Whole30 no-no)--all I did was whip coconut milk! It's coconut milk, vanilla & air! It's not going to kill me :)

I'm trying to do better with the protein thing...the salmon cakes help a lot!
Here's my food for the day:
Breakfast: sweet potato hashbrowns, two fried eggs, coconut water
Snack: nuts
Lunch: spinach with some olive oil & salt, salmon cake, leftover roasted veggies from yesterday, apple
Dinner: egg salad in lettuce wraps, also maybe a salad with tomato & edible flowers and some sort of dressing?
After dinner: fresh fruit (pineapple, blackberries, strawberries) with a little coconut whipped cream

Hope everyone had a great Monday!
Hugs & Sparkles!

I'm with Pixie. It sounds like you're doing great! All you whipping cream ingredients are Whole30 approved. Right? I was on their site and found a link to Whole30 approved cream for your coffee. It was too much work or I would have tried it

Hurrah for whipped coconut. That's totally W30 approved, I reckon! It's not like you're using it to satisfy a sugar craving or anything. It's not like you added in half a jar of honey. That menu looks delish. When are you going to invite me 'round for lunch? You're doing fantastically well. Good on ya!
