So I have now hit 101lbs lost and I thought I should probably write a blog about it and add in some pictures to document my journey so far.
I have been over weight as long as I can remember. I have tried every "diet" in the book. I always lost weight... and then always gained it back, plus more. Finally, in January 2011, I decided that I had had enough! My husband (then fiance) and I joined a gym and started making small changes in our diets. The weight started coming off pretty quickly. I found Spark People in May 2011 by accident when googling something! I am so glad I did. It is such a great resource! By my September 2011 wedding, I had lost 90lbs in 9 months. I was super excited. Then 2 weeks later, we found out I was pregnant. During my pregnancy I gained waaaay too much. 60lbs. Ugh. I gave birth to my gorgeous son May 30, 2012. After giving birth the weight came off soooo slowly. But eventually I lost the sixty I had gained plus 11 more! And that gets me to my 101lbs and counting! I still have more weight to lose and more work to do but I am so happy with my progress at this point. I can't wait to continue to my goals.

Besides these statistics I have lost tons of inches from my entire body. I have more energy, and I'm a beast in the gym. LOL. I've become a runner, which is something I thought I'd never call myself. Especially considering the fact that I couldn't run 20 feet when I started my weight loss journey.

The girl in those pictures above was unhealthy, unhappy, depressed, and unmotivated. I never want to go back to that life.. it's not really living, it's just getting by.

This girl is happier, healthier, and looking forward to an awesome life! I can't wait to continue my journey to better health and be a great wife, great mother, and role model for my son!
