Joined SparkPeople Today

Ok, so I joined SparkPeople today. I've been on Weight Watchers, slimfast, LA Weightloss, WebMD, etc. etc. My life is crazy. I'm a mom, wife, composer/musician, artist, freelance designer/photographer and all around cook, dishwasher, cleaning lady of the house. I would say I'm never stressed, but my husband ends up being my biggest issue. Don't get me wrong, I love him to death, but he's a work-a-holic and, if you've read the 10 stress issue article somewhere on this site, he's described there to a T. Me, I'm very laid back, easy going and have never stressed....until I got married. Oh well...now I eat. So, I need to take control, lose the weight and lose the stress...and if that means somehow learning to make the work-a-holic change too...so be it. I want to keep my kids from falling into the stress/eat trap (my daughter is already heading down that path), I need to lower my high blood pressure and I really just want to be able to tuck my shirts into my jeans without "the buldge"!!!

So, here I am starting another weight loss/healthy life style regimine once again. Maybe this time I can actually make it work!!

    I guess I should say "welcome to the group"....this IS a group of people who have one goal in mind....to drop those extra pounds. Me, I do it very slowly and with almost no effort...as a matter of fact, I haven't been on a scale in a month and won't get on one again until I have my doctor's appointment, which I think is in June. That way it's a nice surprise (I hope) to me and to him!!

Good luck and just keep in touch and keep on keeping on!!

    Welcome to Sparkpeople! So glad you join all of us. You will find a great suppose system with all your fellow Sparkers. You started out well with reading articles. That helped me a great deal. The most important things that will keep you on track is the Nutritional Tracker, the Fitness Tracker, and the support you will find when you blog. Reading others blogs helps you as well. You will see you are not alone in this struggle. You will succeed. Good start with joining. emoticon
