Eat to Live

I have heard so many people on spark talk about this book "Eat to Live" it seems a little extreme but I think I need to get back to basics. I have been so focused on "not gaining the weight back" that I think I am sending that message out to the world- gain the weight back. The power of the mind is an incredible thing. So I am chosing for the next 6 weeks to focus on good nutrition and being really active and I will see where my weight is at that point.
I am a big fan of Jen's Journey- I know I learned of her on SP but I cant remember her user name here but on FB she posted that she too has been struggling with some extra pounds that she has gained back and she is going for a Reset. So that is how I am looking at it too.
Today was my first day. I think I did really well. I had oatmeal with fruit for breakfast. Broccoli, spinach, mushrooms with kidney beans and avocado for lunch. My plate was huge and I was really satisfied. I never was ravenous in the afternoon which I usually am. For dinner I had a really big salad with tons of veggies, green beans balsamic vinegar and a little chicken. I also had a snack of walnuts and almonds (100 cal pack) banana, strawberries and orange and now I think I will have some pineapple. Yum! I feel amazing! REally keeping my fingers crossed that I can do this for the 6 weeks.
