Dealing with pain.

Monday, April 29, 2013

Have you ever had to have a nose cauterized? The first thing you should not do is check the internet to see who had it and how much pain occurred. Being a writer, I check everything before I do it or use it. I went to the internet and read how painful it was. People talked about pain in the teeth, that really hurt. Headaches and pain in the nose, you can not stand for 4 days and then it gets better. Well, don't believe them. Each person is different when it comes to pain. I do not tolerate pain well, but I managed to get through the pain from breast cancer, hernia and skin cancer and I got through the pain from cauterization of the nose. The pain was not as bad as they all spelled it out to be. if I could stand it anyone could. My only problem was you could not blow your nose for a week, and having post nasal drip was not helping at all. I await Thursday when once again I can blow, but have to becareful and blow very easy. Now, I ask you how the heck can you blow your nose easy and get all the crap out?
Beats me. Anyway, today is Monday and have only a few days left to wait, then I can get back to doing my regular stuff, as for a week had I had to be very careful so I would not bleed.
When I was young I was a happy dubbie and not a care in the world. Somehow, I got old and everything started to fall apart. So my advice to you youngsters, have your fun now because there will come a time when fun will be taking a nap. LOL

Yes, growing older is a pain! LOL I have spinal scoliosis and arthritis. Lately, I've been having problems with balance and pain in my right leg/hip. Feel better soon! emoticon

That certainly doesn't sound like much fun. But I am glad you got through it and only have a few days until you can blow your nose gently. I'm not sure how you do that either. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Oh Ive been dealing with major med issues since age 14, so sometimes it starts young, haha. But I sure do have fun! Love seeing your different point of view here. Sometimes reading things online can really scare people! (And having awful allergies, I cant imagine not blowing my nose for a week! haha!) Be patient and keep resting, have a great week!
