Jumpstart to Skinny Day One

Jacque and I decided to do Bob Harper's Jumpstart to Skinny together. So far so good. I am feeling a little lightheaded this afternoon, but I am not hungry. I haven't started the electrolytes yet, because Jacque couldn't find them at GNC. I am going to go to Walgreens tonight and see what I find.

Breakfast was egg whites, asparagus, avocado and ezekiel bread. Just so you know, egg whites without salt taste like sadness.

Lunch was mixed greens, broccoli, red bell pepper, chicken and balsamic vinagrette. Snacks were mixed veggies.

I did eat carrots, even though they are not on the approved list of veggies because I am pretty sure I didn't get fat eating carrots. Most of the food for tonight is prepped, I just have to whip it up.

For exercise, in case you didn't know - 4:30 is a cruel time of the day. I only got in about 15 minutes, even thought the program recommends 30-45. I have Plantar Fasciitis that has been very very bad lately. So, I figure as long as I get up and go through the motions, once I have gottend down enough weight that my feet feel better I will at least be used to getting up at an unholy time of the day to sweat.

Tonight we are going to go to Walgreens, do the strength moves, eat dinner, do laundry, make lunches and hit the hay around 8-9 pm.

I am pretty confidant that I can keep the program up for 3 weeks. I like Bob's approach. I really like the Skinny Rules, and after 3 weeks of this, the Skinny Rules will feel like a vacation!

    Thanks for the advice, dkines and debbieday. I have not tried the quinoatmeal - it didn't sound very appealing! I try to pick 2 or 3 different breakfasts, lunches, and dinners and make them in batches, so I don't have as much cooking to do. I like the peanut butter and jelly oatmeal and the tropical fruit with greek yogurt and flaxmeal for breakfast.

  I just started the Jumpstart to Skinny today. The quinoatmeal was really nasty. It was more like runny quinoa breakfast soup. Did you try that one? But I had a hard time finishing my lunch meal because it was so filling. I had tilapia for dinner instead of the halibut and it was really good.
I am doing this before a trip to Pensacola Beach on May 31st. I really hope I have great success.

    I've started Day1 today with a 45 minute hike up and over neighborhood hills at ^:30 AM barely light enough to see the road! UGH...but hey its done!

Sounds like you are doing great..try some salt free seasonings such as MRS DASH in those egg whites..it helps!
