Day 14 of 17 Day Diet

Haven't weighed myself since Saturday (156, my lowest so far on this plan), but I did hold pretty strong over the weekend. Had game night Saturday and ate: turkey burger, tomatoes, zucchini, carrots, and cottage cheese. No real desire for the chips present, and the pan of brownies only reminded me how anxious I am to try the Paleo brownies I recently bookmarked. No alcohol, no sugar. Hooray!
I will admit that if there had been marshmallows present around the fire pit, i might have been tempted to eat one. LOVE campfire marshmallows! (side note: also looking forward to one day making homemade marshmallows)

So Saturday was strong. Did my class, plus 20 minutes of another instructor's class. No "cheats" or massive cravings for anything bad.

Yesterday I ran 4 very hilly miles. That kicked my butt. I got groceries (woo hoo! fresh veggies & fruits are stocked!) and we grilled out. Again, turkey burgers, zucchini and tomatoes. Was craving something "desserty" after dinner so I made a coconut milk/greek yogurt smoothie with pumpkin pie spice and a little Stevia. It wasn't DELICIOUS or anything, but it worked.

Little cheat yesterday was some spinach artichoke dip with my carrots and green beans. I won't lie, I don't regret it one bit.

The other thing I ventured into was 0 calorie, non sweetened sparkling mineral water. I think the book says to stay away from carbonated drinks, but sometimes i get sick to death of plain water or homemade lemonade.

Anywho, I feel pretty good. Still no bloating, even though TOM is due in a few days. I think I'll stay off the scale until it comes and goes. No sense beating myself up when my body has it's own agenda.

Looking forward to starting Cycle 2, as it means I can have lean ground beef again, lean steaks, and QUINOA!!! I am missing avocados and almonds something fierce, but I think I'll hold off til Cycle 3.

Overall, I would really just love to be back in the 40s. I was seriously stupid for letting my sugar and junky carb addictions kick me out in the first place. STUPID!!!! And to think I was all the way back up to 162. DUMB DUMB DUMB!!!! emoticon

Anyway, that's all I know. I think for me, Cycle 3 will be more of a seque back into a more balanced Paleo plan (um, NOT going for dark chocolate, almonds and fruit at every turn) since grains don't agree with me.

So just 3 more days of boring old eating and then.....more options! emoticon

    Holy moly! Good for you! You have SOME will power! I like my dark chocolate and almonds too much. Haha. We really should run together sometime (although I might have trouble keeping up with you!).
