Hi All. Kind of out of sorts still. I had an offer that has been going on since April 7. I was only able to get hold of the listing agent once. Then someone else from his office contacted the paperwork. Then the seller started calling me himself. I am used to that dealing with this particular brokerage. In either case, after the home inspection, I sent copies of it to the agent and the person who has been handling the paperwork. Then the seller called me as he said he hasn't been able to get hold of his agent. Again, not surprised. I negotiated the whole thing back and forth between the seller and my buyer. Everyone was happy. Within an hour of the deal being done, I get an irate message from the LA stating I had no right talking with the seller (even though the seller repeatedly called me) etc. I tried to talk to the guy and he kept yelling at me. He told me he had been in Mexico. That's fine, but you have someone cover for you and I knew he hadn't been in Mexico for 3 weeks.
Finally, I just hung up on him and e-mailed him the events and how they occurred. I had been in touch with my office manager through the whole thing since the beginning so she knew what was going on.
I thought the whole thing was over. Then I get an e-mail from my office manager forwarding an e-mail from the agent's manager. It's like this dude should be thanking me. I got the deal done. He did nothing. They even admitted that the seller told them he wanted to do his own negotiations. This is a flat rate company where most sellers do negotiate themselves. They just pay a flat fee to be on MLS. If anyone should be upset, it is me. I was doing both sides and he gets the bigger cut.
Since that has been going on, my ulcerative colitis has been acting up. I don't know if it is acting up because I am completely stressed by all this or because of the new blood pressure meds. It all happened pretty much on the same day so I don't know what is causing what.
UGH! I don't need any of this right now!
