I have worked out a new Exercise goal for my self along with a new To Do LIST
TO DO LISTS
Wed nesday 60mins
Sun DWIN ( see note below)
Mon Dust, Hoover
Tues Bathroom, Hoover
Wednesday Kitchen, Hoover
Thursday Bedroom, Hoover
Friday Dust, Hoover
DWIN = Do what is needed
PREPARE EACH DAY:
Water in filter jug
Plan meals for each day
Get Pills ready to take
Set Alarm clock
These are the basics that need doing and I allotted a set day for them, not that it will work out every day, as we all know things get shifted around as life steps in but you get the idea.
I don't list things like laundry as I do that when I have enough to fill the machine.
Dusting means the whole flat, Kitchen and Bathroom means it is really cleaned out well including doors and floor. Kitchen floor gets a clean each day anyway but as that is part of the Hovering I don't list it. I like lists to be compact not detailing every single thing that needs doing.
By splitting the exercise up into different amounts each day it allows me to change the routine and get cardio in along with core and strength exercises.
Chair exercise and things I can do standing up are all part of the plan. I cannot get down to the floor to exercise but I can use the bed for some of them. Other things like press ups are done by using the counter top.
Walking is part of the routine and taken into account in the minutes for each day. As the weather improves I will be able to go for my walks again. I will be doing it on my own as DH will not be able to join me but that is ok. I can go for a walk around the block or down to the canal bridge being careful to stay close to the houses. I have my personal alarm with me at all times and only take my old cell phone with me better safe than sorry.
So far I have managed to stick to my plan
DH is in negative mode at the moment and has told me all this planning won't last and I will not be able to lose the weight or if I do lose any it will all go back on again so why bother. Eat what you want and enjoy life.
I am ignoring him I am not listening to negative talk and getting on with things. He will change as his mood brightens but it is hard at the moment as he is in pain and that makes him Mr Grumpy or as I sometimes call him Victor Meldrew. All those who saw One Foot in the Grave will know what I mean those that don't have a look at the Youtube link. Victor Meldrew can moan for the world.
