Color Run St. Louis 4.27.2013

Sunday, April 28, 2013

I did my First Color Run yesterday. Yes the weather was nasty wet and rainy and my best friend was sick. I had a BLAST with my lil cousin.

My cousin doesn't run so we walked it and not even really a power walk. But hey it was some exercise. I wore my HRM and burned almost 400 calories over a hour.

IT was crazy to see the people, even saw one young lady with an old wedding dress on!? LOL I didn't take a picture she had enough people taking pictures of her.

The funniest thing was after we went through the blue we started running and my cousin turns and looks at me and say "why are we running?" I replied "I don't know" she then says, "can we stop?" and I say "well sure" and we stop running! Almost died laughing! emoticon
We got so many likes and comments on FB, there are about 5-6 people who are going to do it with us in September when it comes back to the STL!
Here are a few pictures of us.

Before & After Shot!

Me at the very end after the Festival of Colors!

Since this was my first I assume b/c of the rain the color was really sticking to us, more than it would have been if it were a dry day?!?

Anyhoo, again much FUN! And can't wait to do it again in September and hoping it will be DRY and a little warmer it was only about 53 degrees yesterday.

Later that night I went to a concert and this is what I wore! I ran into a few people who hadn't seen me in awhile and I got quite a few compliments on m weightloss! emoticon emoticon

Have a good one!

I am so glad you did the Color Run and had sooo much fun - I knew you would!! Your pics show what a good time you had! I'll keep my fingers crossed for better weather for you in September. When I did the one in Jacksonville in Decemeber it was cold and rainy too so I have no idea if the paint will stick more or less in dry conditions (but I know you'll find out soon enough!)!

You're looking good! And you ran, at least a part of it! Someone else from our team wrote about the Color Run today. She thought the rain made the paint stick to her more, too. She could not get it off easily. You two look like you had so much fun, just like you said you did.
