Braving the elements for Yogurt

Sunday, April 28, 2013

I had my last container of yogurt this morning for breakfast. I just had to have some in the house for tomorrow. Most of the day it rained. At 6pm I said to myself, you really need and want that yogurt. So putting on my jacket and grabbing my umbrella I headed out for the 15 minute walk to the store. The first five minutes on the way it was raining hard but at least there was no wind. Then luckily the rain stopped for the rest of the trip to the store. There were no blueberry Dannon yogurt, but way in the back I spied a four pack of strawberry, so I thought to give this a try. Also I picked up a box of Post Raisin Brand and two pints of strawberries. On the way home it was pouring and blowing and my feet got drenched from the water on the road. But I did not care, I had my prize. When I got home I tried the strawberry yogurt (of course as a reward for a deed done well). I think I ruined a new pair of white socks. I will see how they turn out after they are washed.

Good for you for going out for a walk even though it was raining! Strawberry yogurt is my favourite and I love blueberry yogurt as well. I eat strawberry yogurt almost every morning. It's nice when something so healthy tastes so good.

emoticon emoticon emoticon Good evening, Steven!

Good for you! Lots of exercise, some good, healthy food - the only disadvantage being the staining of your socks out there. I'll bet if you washed 'em in the sink and then let them soak overnight in a bleach/water solution, you'd restore their whiteness and brightness. Give it a try and let me know what happens.

I'm so happy you enjoyed the Dannon strawberry yogurt - yeah!!! Paul likes that, too (as well as the blueberry). They're good flavors, aren't they? You got lots of rain up there today! We had a sprinkling here and there, but nothing as heavy as what you described. So proud of you for making good, healthy food choices! emoticon - Susan
