I've finally found the time to replenish my freezer stash of beans...cannelloni, black, kidney, and pinto. I might even make some chickpeas. I've gotten a bit off track the ETL plan, so I'm going to make a chart this week to track my progress and remind me of my goals.
In other news....I think I've finally started nesting. My home is quite plain. I've never really taken the time to decorate it, and I've told myself this is because we aren't allowed to out holes in the walls...but not really. It just doesn't interest me much. But my mom and others will come to visit when the baby is born, so I spent $150 at WalMart (that's major in my world) to buy pretty mats for the kitchen with matching dish towels and dish rags...the ones we've been using are mostly from our wedding 13 years ago...and looking pretty awful. I also bought some decorative towels for the downstairs bath with matching hand towels and washcloths. I'm also trying to move the 1 and 2 year old to regular cups that they keep at the table, rather than the bottle and sippy cups they carry around the house, leaving behind millions of tiny spots on the carpet. Hoping to get the carpets cleaned this coming weekend and the maybe buy some very large area rugs to cover the cArpet. I don't think we've stained any areas too bad, but I don't know how much more it can take! I'm thinking if I can find some nice sage green ones they might hide dirt and look nice....but we are talking a major purchase...not sure if we can swing it or not.
I've gotten out all the little baby boy clothes, and successfully passed on quite a few things we don't need as I've gone through tubs of clothing. Currently potty training the 2 year old, and we have our good and bad days.
