Krav Maga Week 1 Results

So the first week of Krav went better than expected. By the end of the week I was making it through class without keeling over, and as far as weightloss goes I couldn't have chosen a better path! I'm losing a pound a day between watching my food and taking Krav!

It has also opened my eyes to the power I have inside! I told my krav partner that I was concerned about watching the Level 1 Krav test because I thought that I would get scared that I couldn't do it. She looked at me with astonishment in her eyes and said "Amanda, you were BORN to kick ass!" Sometimes all it takes is to see yourself through someone else's eyes to realize how far you've come!

I decided to go out to my favorite karaoke bar yesterday with my mom, husband, and some of our closest friends. I got another wake up call when our favorite bartender/friend didn't even know who I was at first. He was really sweet and everyone else who hadn't seen me in a while was amazed at the difference in my body. We had a great time, and it was wonderful to blow off some steam singing and joking with the most important people in my life!

The compliments are wonderful, and seeing the progress every day keeps me pushing. It's really hard to make excuses not to workout when every morning you look at the scale and another pound is gone for good! There is no Krav class today, so I'm finally taking the cellophane of of my Bob Harper DVD, and that will be my workout today. I feel like I've finally hit my stride in this journey & I am excited to see the woman I become over the next 4 months!

Update: Bob Harper's Cardio Max DVD kicked my butt, it's a little squat heavy, and my knees are killing me! I hope I recover in time for Krav Maga tomorrow!
