Car

Saturday, April 27, 2013

I spent 2 hours today at the dealer.
The 'service stability track' light was intermittently coming on. When it was on, the car would 'vibrate' and ride 'rough'. When it was off, the car was fine. Naturally, it was off today. The computer on the car gave no clues what was going on. Fortunately, the mechanic checked and there had been a service bulletin about this problem on this make and model of car. There were 4 items that needed correcting and he did that.
The dealer does a multi-point inspection, gives a car wash and vacuums out the driver's seat whenever he services a car. Nothing checked out as needing servicing
The best part, as all this is covered, I walked out with no charge.

Wow! That is awesome! Generally speaking most times when walking into a dealership to have the car serviced, you pay for it. I am glad that it worked out for you and that nothing major was amiss! emoticon

Glad you took care of this instead of worrying about it and you are most fortunate to have found a knowledgeable mechanic who knew how to fix it. God bless.

great that everything was covered. Hubby took his truck in today for an oil change and to get the windshield wiper distributor checked. he needed a new part. part is 30.00, labor to put it in is going to be 250-300. takes 2 hours to get to the original part, 10 minutes to install it and then 2 hours to put everything back together.
