Yard saled today

Saturday, April 27, 2013

My daughter and I left the house at 8am to go yard saling we had fun . We walk all over the place we live in the middle of our city so I make my list according to which neighborhood we are heading too. We got to the first sale to kill time till the church sales started. This one man had a big box filled with little boxes that had brass minutures never out of the box. My daughter went through 25 boxes deciding which ones she wanted for her doll house. we went to another sale got lots of toys still in their packaging. One is a spiderman barbie that sells well on ebay. Then went to a sale bought a rubber made full of dj lights for our halloween parties. Also got some disney dvds and wii games. The last sale was at our sister church. We did not have a car so we carried our purches into the hall and put them under the coat rack. One of the old ladies who knows me yelled over the line wanting me to donate the boxes. My yard saling friends ahead of me laffed because they all knew I just bought the stuff. It was funny. There I got a pay phone replica modern phone it is funny. We played the strw game I won a box of choclate cookies and garden gloves. I gave my cookies to the family as soon as I walked in. Oh I also found a weight loss system that came from a tv infomerical never out of the box the invoice is with it. over $150 bucks paid 5 going to check out some of the info and excerises. Also brought my son to a new play group this afternoon they are all children he will be going to school with in the fall. Great day so happy yard sale season is here.

I will have the next few days off now. It's been nice visiting with you. Happy Sunday! emoticon

Today is Sunday, so I will get to sleep and go to church and then we have some people coming over for dinner. Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy and lots of veggies. Do you have any special meals your family likes? We like to make a turkey about 6 times a year (many Americans make it only once for Thanksgiving). It's a great high nutrition meat. I'm not a vegetarian, but meat is expensive, so we try to co as little as possible.

Finances are interesting to me also. My husband is in school now so that is a drain on our savings. We have student debt that I want to pay off this year, actually will be paid by next April. We live in town too, so like to walk or bike where we go, but have two vehicles that are paid for, still expensive to maintain vehicles, so that is interesting about you not driving since 1993. I make my own bread or buy some that is made by a local vendor with only 5 basic ingredients, no preservatives. ( That's something else I look for in food, either all natural or very basic ingredients. )
So I really like your ideas and the simplified style you seem to have.

It's awesome that you made your own recipe for that soup. I talked to my husband about it today and he thinks its a good idea for us to try to make it. I look forward to when you have it in writing, otherwise I probably won't make it taste as good as you do, though I am not a bad cook, I am not original either.
You are definitely on the right track with high nutrition in that soup. Has all the right stuff in it.
I am going to try to put a plan together tonight to include that and hopefully the cost of our food goes down. Do you grow any of your own?

It's great you had a nice day off. Do you sell all the toys you buy or keep a collection?

It sounds like you found some really great deals! Plus walking all over town carrying items has to be good exercise and a day well spent. Glad you enjoyed your day :D
