Attitude of Gratitude

Saturday, April 27, 2013

When I start to feel that feeling of stress and impending doom, I find it helpful to write out a list of things that I am grateful for, no matter how small they may seem.

my healthy children
my husband
a roof over my head
food in the house
my animals
my sister
internet and phone (lol)
my health
another day
solutions to beat situational depression
my car
my ability to walk, talk, move, clean
running water
plenty of clothes (even if I have yet to put them in the washer for the day, lol)
opportunities not yet explored
friends
SparkPeople
God

Okay, that's just the beginning, but if I do that, I HAVE to be happy! There are so many people out there who do not have these things. I AM Blessed. I have reasons to smile!

emoticon You made me smile! I think it is wonderful to count your blessings. There is always someone worse off than you and having a gratitude for what you have is so important to our overall well being. Keep on doing this - keep reminding yourself, and you will be so much happier! I had to chuckle a little on the "running water" because we all take that for granted - but really, it is such a great thing!
Love it!
