How much more comforting is it to talk with a friend who has faith in God rather than one who is all about being negative. When we go to someone to talk about the situations in our lives and seek help from them and we get negativity, criticism and judgment instead, it just makes us feel worse. We need friends who have faith in God and what He can do and we need to be that type of friend to others as well so we can lift up and encourage them to trust in God in all things.
James 2:22 “You see, his faith and his actions worked together. His actions made his faith complete.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, thank You for our faithful friends. We thank You for those who are faithful to us and we call friends. But more importantly, those who are faithful to You and know that our actions make our faith complete. Help us to be a friend that takes action in faith for You and to serve others. We can’t always be sure of the outcome but if we take a step of faith toward You as we help others, we can know the outcome will be what You want to happen. And we are so very grateful for that. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Know that actions plus faith is what God calls us to do.

We can have faith without action but it won’t do nearly as much as faith with action.

When we are faithful to God and others, it pleases Him but when we take action due to our faith in God, we are completing what God wants us to do.

Being obedient to God is about being faithful but it is also about taking action. What can you do today to make a difference for someone by taking action on your faith in God?

We need friends who are faithful to God and are willing to take action. We need to be that kind of friend to them as well.

James 2:14 “What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone?” (NLT)
