It is easy to say I will do this but all too easy to let things get in the way. So I have decided it is time to give myself permission to do what I need to do. That may sound silly but it does make sense. I am always thinking of others especially the family and putting their needs first, nothing wrong with that but it means I end up putting my needs on the back burner.
If I am not healthy I cannot help others so it makes sense to balance my needs and the families.
To balance things out it means I need to give myself permission to do what I need in order to be healthier.
I give myself permission:
To Exercise every day. This can be early morning, or during the day. Exercise means raising my heart rate. Chair exercise and dance do both so I will do these.
To eat a Healthy Diet. This means eating what I know is right for me even if that means preparing something just for me like a salad when DH doesn't want any.
To eat the Portion Size that is right for me. It is easy to have larger portions when serving up a meal or to add extra when being told that doesn't look much. Sticking to what I know is right will bring the results I desire.
To put myself first. By putting myself first I will be able to help the family more as I will be healthier.
To succeed in what I am doing for myself. It is easy to allow other things to get in the way and to allow these things to stop me from succeeding.
This list is now in my journal and will be a reminder of what I want to do for me.
