Another benchmark reached

My weight loss has slowed a bit this month. Up until now, I'd been averaging about 12 pounds per month, but April's been a bit trickier. Lots of travel combined with things like Easter, birthday celebrations, and other things has slowed my weight loss to about 8 pounds this month. Still, I'm quite pleased with that.
Today we leave for Disney World. We surprised the kids (we're going for their birthday). They had no idea about the trip, and I recorded their priceless reactions when we told them last night! So much fun!
I had set a goal for myself to be below 250 pounds by the time of this trip. That's a loss of about 43 pounds since January 1. All week long, I've worked especially hard to stay at the lower end of my calorie range, get lots of water and exercise in, and generally eat healthy, whole foods. It appears that strategy has paid off, as I stepped on the scale this morning and it said 249.8!!! I am so excited and so proud of myself for sticking with this!!!
