Got my Butt Kicked Today #2
Saturday, April 27, 2013
I had my second session with my personal trainer today! Wow! I had NO idea I was capable of doing the things I did today and have even found a new "toy" in the gym; the rowing machine! It was fun!
The rest of the things we worked through were very interesting and challenging. I have also found I like the kettle bell exercises, which I had never done before.
I have to say that I am really motivated to do the things I am doing, in part because I did not know I could do them and, in part because I did so many of them as a kid and loved them at the time. I was truly incapable of doing so many of these things because the pain from my knees (which need to be replaced) truly kept me from the many things I used to enjoy.
The first Synvisc shot I had almost a year ago began this amazing process. The freedom from pain allowed me to begin this amazing journey on SparkPeople. The 2nd one allowed me the freedom and the courage to start exercising again, which led me to join the local YMCA. My participation there allowed me to meet the amazing man who is my personal trainer and continue this trek to improved health, strength, weight loss and personal confidence.
I am well and truly blessed to be where I am on this journey...87 pounds down and on the way to much better health!
