Too Busy to WOD :(

I've been doing much better food-wise this week. Still had some slip-ups, but getting back in the groove. I forgot that I'd be out of town this weekend all week, so I only made it to CF twice. My schedule has been busy with meetings about group projects, my internship, work, etc. I was planning on hitting up regular class & oly tomorrow, but I'll be on a plane...oops!

Monday was really fun. We practiced skin-the-cat and muscle ups on the rings for 20 minutes, then did:
9-7-5
Muscle Ups
Power Cleans (Rx = 108)

I did muscle up transitions + ring dips (with a band) and 73# for the power cleans. My arms were sore for days from those ring dips!

I really liked the complex we did today too. 2 power clean + 2 front squat + 1 split jerk. I got up to 103#. My coach said my jerk was looking really good. All those Oly classes are working! I think that was a split jerk PR for me! I think I could do even more too, I just couldn't get my elbows fast enough on the power cleans at 108.

The WOD was less fun:
45 thrusters (Rx= 63#)
45 pull-ups (purple & red bands)

So Fran...but without alternating movements. The thrusters SUCKED. So much more than when you get to split them up! I was glad I got in some pull-ups, it's been awhile!

Only 2 more weeks of classes! After that, I should have NO problem fitting in 4 workouts a week!

    It's a tie which I hate worse - thrusters or burpees!

    What a coincidence. I also did power cleans yesterday at 73#. But ours were for the strength component so it was 5-5-5-5-5. I might blog about it but I got up to 73#... I was SHOCKED... the most weight I even own at home is 50#. Coach put 10 more pounds on there and told me I could do 83#. I tried 3 times but it wasn't happening. I got the bar just below my boobs and had to drop it. I don't know if I just psyched myself out or what... but let me tell you... when I took that 10# and went back to 73, it felt so LIGHT! LOL what a difference 10# makes.

My upper back is really sore today :)
