Whew! What a night.
Woke up nightmarish after a night full of nerve pain.
Seeing the light in the living room, I dreamed it was my son coming in and leaving the door wide open. I yelled "NO!" and of course, promptly woke up my sweet husband. Hoo boy. I slept some in the chair, and some back in bed, and Peaches kept following me everywhere. Dear old Peachy cat had his job cut out for him last night, as he kept trying to make me feel better. He meowed in my face this morning to get me up. I guess if he thought I could get up for work, I guessed I would get up, and try. I didn't know if I would make it to work, but I did, and now I am home, bushed, tired, and in less pain, for the moment.

Funny. One of the books I was proofing today had to do with dealing with chronic pain. It did give me a few tips about dealing with, that I may try. Some of them I already do.

TGIF. and for kitty cats who purr and send healing warmth.

To think, in one day, you had the opening paragraph of a 'Tale of Two Cities" LOL

If you don't get sick of reading, and haven't already read it...I recently finished a lovely book, "Dinner with a Perfect Stranger" by David Gregory. I think it's the best 'novel' that I've ever read, and I've read many.

I never thought of cats as having the same caring and compassion for their owners like dogs. My Mom's cat certainly totally ignores us most of the time, not bothering to interact one way or the other. My Mom's new dog, however, comes right to you and puts her face beside your lap. She even tried to tell Mom the cat was locked out in the unheated garage once, but Mom didn't get the message. She is an amazing, sweet sensitive dog, its a shame she is too big to be a lap dog because I am sure she would get right up there lol.
Hope you have a more pain free and restful weekend,
Hugs,
Linda

Isn't it wonderful how God can speak to us in so many ways-today He spoke to you thru the book you were proofreading.
Here is to a good night of rest and a relaxing weekend.

I have somehow acquired five cats over the years, and while they are all infuriating in their own little superior ways, they also have that intuitive caring thing going on. For the most part, they loathe one another, but when I was in a lot of emotional pain, they'd all sleep on the sofa with me, jostling one another and the poor dog for space. Nothing puts one to sleep like a good purr. :)
