Day #1

Sooo, after... well basically an entire 21 years of being slightly but not enormously overweight, I have decided to grab the bull by the horns and do something about it.
I have decided to do this thing right. Not starving myself or purging (I have had a slight history with these issues but I am happy say that they are in my past). Instead I am going to stick to a 1300 calorie diet while eating things that are common sense healthy AKA skip the chili cheese fries and have a turkey sandwich. I don't think you have to be a certified nutritionist to know the basics of good and bad eating.
I also hope to stick to a simple workout routine of at least 30 minutes a day. I like to give myself some flexibility whether I want to do some morning yoga or kidnap a friend's dog and go hiking. Moral- as long as its moving, it counts.
Taking my beginning photos was hard. As an art student I have taken nudes of myself before but those had lots of manipulated light, posture, focus, angle ect. The beginning photos leave NOTHING to hide. I was a little upset by them however they also give me motivation. If I were happy with my body why the heck would I be doing this?
So all of that being said, I am going to get off my bum and get started! LETS DO THIS THING! (actually I'm going to go make myself an almond butter and whole wheat sammich...) and then I will CONQUER THE WORLD!!!
