Ok, so I am prepping for Day 1 tomorrow of the Lyn-Genet Plan. Let me first say
to Tania for giving me a heads-up about this book, and to Mandi for detailing her experiences thus far through her blog! I am looking forward to figuring things out, as I have really gained a lot of weight in the last 4-5 months overall (About 40 lbs). So I am not felling well at all. Hopefully this cleanse with the recommended probiotics and a few other supplements will get my body back to healing AND losing!
I have prepped the Flax Granola - 2 big mistakes already... I bought roasted flax from Trader Joe's instead of regular flax. Ok, so it was pre-roasted for me, but no, I didn't realize it, so I reinvented the wheel and soaked it anyway.
And then, of course, had to re-roast it! Well, ok, so we'll see how that goes. Hopefully in the big fiber picture, it won't be a huge glitch.
Made the Orange oil, which is just lovely! I had a new bottle of an organic olive oil and it was perfect for that.
The Carrot-Ginger soup is not as vile as I had imagined! It's kind of thick, like a puree' and I went light on the fresh ginger, as I never cook with fresh ginger and really don't care for it much. But I upped the cinnamon in hopes of making it taste more like liquid carrot cake.
It doesn't make that much of a leap, but I can get it down.
Still have to make my Coco sauce. I need to head BACK to the store, as I am out of onions. Gah!
Tonight I was going to go out with a bang with a fish fry, but am opting to grill haddock instead.
