Loving Life Day 109 April 26, 2013

Friday, April 26, 2013

The green eggs and ham for dinner were a big hit last night. We read the book before we made them, and focused on the part where he does like green eggs and ham. My little granddaughter sat at the table, took her first bite, and said I DO LIKE GREEN EGGS AND HAM, I DO LIKE THEM SAM I AM! It was so cute. I did get a video of her saying that she likes them, but not from the first bite. She liked them so much she had 2nds and would have had 3rds if there had been any left. Hubby wasn't thrilled with them, but he was a good sport about it. He's not a fan of breakfast food for dinner.

Yesterday was a good day for me. Health wise, lifestyle wise, mentally and physically. I didn't go for a walk yesterday, but played outside for 3 hours after I got home with my granddaughter. This week has been a busy week for us. Her mommy is sick, so daddy has had her since Tuesday, which means Nana has her after work until daddy gets out at 9:00 PM. One more night and then I won't see her until Tuesday. She is my little buddy, and sure keeps me on my toes. She has learned how to open the gate of our fenced in back yard, open the storm doors and even go through the doggie door. There's no taking your eyes off of her, as she moves all over the place and quickly! Today we may go to the park after work. We are having left overs for dinner, so we don't have to worry about dinner being ready at any specific time. If it's nice out when we get home, we will walk to the park for an hour or so. She loves that, and so does Nana!

I am the only one who can do this for myself.
I make the choice of what I put in my mouth and what I don't.
I make the choice to exercise or not daily
I make the choice to have a positive frame of mind
I make the choice to be healthy!

Goals for today:
~ read my mantra
~ enjoy time with my granddaughter after work
~ 80 oz water
~ 10,000 steps
~ Walk during lunch
~ find out how to use my twitter account! (still haven't gotten to this one yet!)
~ 15 flights of stairs
~ keep an open mind
~ journal every bite
~ weigh and measure food today
~ journal thoughts and feelings surrounding eating today
~ smile at least once an hour
~ learn something new and remember what I learned
~ eat a fruit or vegetable with every meal and as one snack today
~ focus on this lifestyle I have chosen for myself and don't sweat the small stuff

That's an inspiring message you've named your blog post. It reminds me of when I was younger, I really enjoyed the Rolling Stone song, "Wild Horses". In it, Mick would wail out,"I-I-I-I...Luuvve Livvingg!" At the young teenager that I was, I was inspired by that sung phrase. Glenn
