The meal plans on Sparkpeople are leaving me satisfied. One of my MAJOR struggles with weight loss is controlling sweet cravings. They are strong and distracting. HOWEVER, I have stuck to the meal plan now for almost a week and notice that I don't have such strong cravings. I am satisfied, I don't need more food. The food I am eating tastes good, there is enough of it, no complaints.
My protien intake is about 35-50% higher on any given day. My fiber intake and Vitamin D intake are also much higher. I think the cravings are potentially caused by not getting the protien, fiber and other vitamins and minerals that I really need. Now that I am getting what I need, my cravings have decreased substantially.
The meal plan is a relief. If you haven't tried it yet, think about it. It is flexible and easy to follow. You won't feel deprived. There have been a couple of times it was even too much food for me. WORTH IT, WORTH IT, WORTH IT.
Oh and so far this week I am down 3lbs! I am on the smaller side of "overweight" therefore it is hard to lose more then a 1lb a week if I am well behaved. Week 1 on the meal plan (day 4) and I am down 3lbs....so rewarding.
