I ate all phase one foods today (I'm cleansing from my most recent splurge fest), so I feel good about that. Then I checked my tracker and I was several hundred calories short. So, I added a P1 dessert. Still 130 calories short! If I hadn't tracked, I would have told myself I had enough after dinner! Does this mean that when I don't track, I'm not eating enough which is what eventually leads to big splurges? I guess so.
At the same time, I know that when I track regularly I tend to get crazy obsessed with what I ate and what I will eat and I have to control every ingredient and portion and phew! It's exhausting just thinking about it. I don't know where the middle ground is. I've been hearing a lot about "intuitive eating" and I wonder if it's something I should look into more. I feel like other people don't have to think so hard about what they do and don't eat, but I guess I don't know for sure.
