OMG, I feel amazing! I didn't even sleep well last night (too wound up from the stuff with my sister), but I got up & ran this morning (it was a little rough & I did need my inhaler, but I ran) and I have plenty of energy today. I actually accomplished things at work (I've been a little zoned out lately--this current project is kind of tedious)--I think I just needed a day off.
Also, the effect of waking up & being able to breathe, as well as not having a constant sore throat from post-nasal drip, can't be discounted. I just feel better.
I had eggy avocados & a coconut water for breakfast, a large salad (with radishes & avocado & macademia nut oil, lemon juice, salt & pepper) and an apple for lunch, and I'm having curry sauce over steamed veggies for dinner. I snacked on a mix of cashews, almonds, macadamia nuts & goji berries a little in the afternoon (how have I never been addicted to cashews before? they are kind of crazy amazing). There may be fruit & coconut milk later...
I have two groupons for yoga that I should use. The first one is for one month of unlimited Bikram & I may try a class Sunday (they have an intro class Sunday afternoons). I got the other one to a really popular studio this morning & I'll probably use it after the month of Bikram (it'll be a piece of cake then!). Or maybe I'll do regular yoga first...I don't know. We'll see this weekend! I don't typically like any type of exercise class because of the pressure to go at a certain time, etc., etc., but it's been awhile since I've done any type of yoga & I'm curious about Bikram, so perhaps it will be good. Plus, good for meeting people!
Which reminds me, I have a meetup this weekend to see Alice Waters give a talk at UCSB--I can't wait! I'm really looking forward to her talk.
