MONSTER Garage Sale - Day One
Thursday, April 25, 2013
But we made almost $500... yes, on a Thursday! And it looks like there isn't even a thing gone because we are still unloading things and getting clothing priced and hung up.
I can only hope it is not 92 degrees for the rest of the weekend. Supposed to only be 75 for the next 2 days, but I NEVER believe what the weather forecasts because I have thermometers in the shade and in the sun. The one in the shade said 92, and the one in the sun said 98. Neither is good.
Hope you are all happy and safe and well-tended to. I can walk 4 miles a day and I am fine. Today, my feet are killing me, my left leg is just giving out and my right hip is mean to me. My spine feels like a wet noodle and not holding me up at all. So I am taking my skittles (my nightly medication) and laying down with heating pads all over my legs and feet and trying to relax. (Can't relax too much because I can't lay down completely or sit up completely.)
And we are thinking of taking the things that are kind of old and crappy and donating them after this 2-week stint and only keeping the new things and the hunting gear. We just have entirely too much stuff and the trailer still isn't empty. We still have about 20 bins left and a brand new fireplace with mantle that burns gel canisters and has fake logs. Sells for $550. I think we are asking $200, and it's never even been out of the box. Just amazing how much stuff we have that needs to go and since it's so hot, no one buys the blankets at all! LOL I don't blame them, but I am a blanket cuddler so I am getting all the ones I want. :-)
Peace, Love and Health,
PS: The furniture sold FAST! I am hoping the don't take a few pieces that I want to give my brother for his new house. He's pretty sure he's found the right place... 8 acres, 3/2 brick home and it is so pretty. Never thought it would be his style because he used to live in a beautiful cabin, but hey, he deserves it.
And that is Rule #1, Jack! (Yes, I have been watching Duck Dynasty again!)
