Yard needs work.......who can go to the gym?

Thursday, April 25, 2013

emoticon Sooooo, yesterday I did lawn mowing for 1.5 hours - that's equal to 1/3 of the back yard. I stacked wood for 30 minutes. So tomorrow another 1/3 and so on until I start over. emoticon I am now chubby stronger but not chubby thinner. emoticon Maybe later....

Great exercise and the more muscle you burn, the more your metabolism works!! Anyway you look at it, you win!

Stronger means more muscles to burn more fat in future sessions in your yard. If you DO lose weight tomorrow, it will probably just be water escaping from all your effort. Let us know in 2-3 days if the scale nudges downward!!

Every time you help your yard look better, you help yourself look better, as long as you don't pick up the phone and call someone else to do the work!

Digging, pushing a wheel barrow loaded with heavy things, stacking wood, pushing a push mower that is not self propelled - all these things burn a LOT of calories and work your upper and your lower body.

Haven't you ever admired those tan landscapers in their cut off shorts? You'll look like that soon, too!

. . . or maybe you are chubby stronger and getting thinner but NOT TODAY - you keep up that kind of pace and you will see the success you are looking for.

I personally think fitness through intense activity like yardwork is much healthier than, oh, jogging on a treadmill! At least, it's more natural! Plus all that good fresh air!

That's got to be burning calories (unless it's a riding mower)
