Wow, I can't believe it's been four weeks now and I've pretty much stayed on plan. I had an off day this past Tuesday because Aunt Flo made me feel a bit miserable, and all I wanted was toast. But still, this is probably the longest that I've ever actually stuck with such a major change.
Last week was not a big loss for me, only about 0.8 pounds down on my official weigh day, which was of course Tuesday when I felt miserable. But I'm okay with that. I'm already down more since Tuesday, and have just about hit 20 pounds lost (only half a pound to go). I think 20 pounds in not quite two months is pretty great, and even if I had a slow week, it's okay. As long as I stay on track I know I can make it.
In other news I've decided to try out the couch to 5k training program. This morning the hubby and I did our first ever morning jog! Well, I say jog, but really it was intervals of walking and jogging. To commemorate the occasion, I decided to take some before pictures:
They're not entirely representative of my actual figure, since I'm wearing another sports bra underneath the top (which already has a sports bra built in), so my chest is rather, umm, squished in this outfit.
I'm hoping that at the end of the 9 week program I'll be able to post another set of pictures that show some real progress. And I'm also hoping that I'll really be able to get into jogging with my hubby as a regular thing. I'll admit that today, the first day, was pretty awful, and I was barely able to jog for 60 seconds at a time. But it was still really nice, and the path along the Willamette river here in Eugene is just beautiful. I always see people jogging along it, and I used to think to myself, "Oh, wouldn't it be nice if I could do that?" Well, now I'm not just going to think about doing it, I'm gonna actually do it!
