Everyone is different, and I lost 60 pounds eating processed foods and sometimes fast food. If you can control yourself around it, and make better choices you can lose weight. If you can't go through the McDonalds drive thru without ordering nuggets, a double cheese burger and a large fries, then yes, maybe that is not the plan for you. But I know for me that I could not go from eating fast food to eating nothing but healthy things. People who are as overweight as I was can get overwhelmed by making SO many huge changes, and anything that can make them less overwhelming and making you feel less helpless that you will ever be able to lose 100+ pounds is a small step in the right direction. Only you will know if you can get certain things in moderation and do that while staying in a good range for you to lose weight. emoticon

I have to agree with forgottenmems. Fast food can be very dangerous when your trying to stay on track to lose weight. I say have an apple, banana, or small salad. Losing weight is a task within itself, but to adding fast foods could make it almost impossible for some of us. I'd rethink having fast food. You can achieve your goals, you must stay focus and adapt will power. emoticon emoticon

I don't think STEPH-KNEE is giving good advice here.. it really depends on your level of addiction to fast food/processed foods. Those kinds of foods are designed to have high fat, salt, and carbs regardless of if you can make them fit into your daily calorie range. Because they have highly addicting macro nutrients and chemicals, they may leave your tongue wanting more. Let's face it... have you ever binged on fruit or vegetables? I highly doubt it. They are not calorie dense foods but they fill up the volume of your stomach so much that you'd probably have a stomach ache if you ate as many calories of fruits and vegetables as you do in fast food. So to say that some people can control themselves and eat fast food in moderation that may not be the same case for you. I know it isn't for me. If I ate enough fast food to actually be satisfied and quench hunger, I would be eating way more than my daily calorie allotment. That's how I got here in the first place.

A lot of people will tell you that you can't eat fast food and lose weight, but you can. If you make yourself familiar with what is the lower calorie menu items, and it's not always the obvious choice. Sometimes salads have more calories than a double cheese burger. It's all about calories in and calories out. I lost 60 pounds on processed foods like easy mac and lean pockets, which are not the healthiest choices... I know the sodium is horrible, but it is all about calories in and calories out. :)

You can do this, it sounds like you are thinking about what might help you again and I hope you find whatever can work for you, because you deserve to have everything you want! emoticon

I'm sitting here eating my snack which is low fat plain yogurt, fresh strawberries, granola, and a half scoop of chocolate whey protein. And as I'm sitting here listening to your day of eating fast food I'm thinking, man we are in different worlds lol
