More realistic fitness plan...

Thursday, April 25, 2013

I did really well a year ago or so. I was at the gym 6 days a week, but it came at a cost. My daughter didn't like being at home alone so much, especially when it started getting dark. We sat down last night and worked out a schedule that has me at the gym only twice a week. Saturdays and Tuesday nights. Here's my schedule...

Monday-strength training
Wednesday-walk with friends
Thursday-strength training
Sunday-walk with friends

The walks with friends are easy. I have the accountability and I can partner fellowship with my goals. Easy peasy. Gym time is easy too, since it's only 1 night a week I'm there. Amanda can put together her own dinner until I get back. I can supervise homework/studying/chores the majority of the week so I won't run into the issues I had before.

She'll be 13 next month and once she takes part in an orientation session she can work out with me, which she's been wanting to do for years. She likes the treadmill and the bike and we can up the nights then if she's going to go with me. Especially in the summer when there's no homework.
