Woohoo! 2 weeks in, and I feel like I've hit my stride. I lost the 0.4 that I gained yesterday, plus 0.2, which is a loss and I'll take it. I felt very rough yesterday, and couldn't get out of the house. Hopefully today I will be able to take the dog for a walk.
I don't think about the fasting anymore-it's just become a routine of making my juice like I would any meal. I'm not hungry, and my cravings are much less frequent, and for strange things. Yesterday I was craving banana bread, lamb, shrimp salad and a veggie sub from subway.... Not a fatty, salty, meaty sub; just a veggie one with pickles. Hahaha.
My boyfriend and I sometime play the "what food do you want right now" game. He's lost 18 pounds, and was originally going to stop the fast today, but he's at a lower weight than he's ever been as an adult, and wants to stick it out with me. He's just the best
. Yesterday's game choices were: sirloin steak, scallops, cheesecake, hummus, and cheesy chicken and pasta. His choices seem less strange than mine...
My sister and I are going away to Cuba in the fall, but planning a trip with her is stressful. She is younger than me, and so wants a different type of vacation than I'm used to. She wants a cheap all-inclusive with a good party atmosphere, whereas I would like to get away and relax, see the sights and explore the culture. Hopefully we can come to some consensus....
Well, two weeks down-two more to go. May 10th is my stopping date because of my pre-op appointment on the 17th. I have to be unfasted by then :(
Part of me just wants to go back into it, but it would only be for a week, and then I'd have to come out again for surgery. I think I'll just switch to low carb in the meantime and do another 2 week fast after surgery.
