Follow a Diet plan or create your own menu

There are so many diet plans out there, that it's hard to make the right choice before you've spent your life savings trying to save your life. How do you choose which plan or your own plan is best? For me I'm doing both (I think). I'm new to SparkPeople and I love the premise behind the program. I plan to use their recipes and my own to help me loose weight. I thought about adding some their recipes to my own menu structure to help liven things up a bit.

So what are you doing and what is working for your? emoticon

    I don't diet. I eat healthy food in reasonable quantities, and I move more.

When I dieted, I gained weight. Now that I tell myself the truth about what is a healthy food and what isn't and eat accordingly, I am losing.

It also helps that I exercise now, but the truth is, you cannot out-exercise a bad diet. I use exercise to tone and strengthen my body, increase my energy and sharpen my mind so that I can think clearly enough to make good food choices.

Find what works for you, within the boundaries of reasonably healthy and reasonable portion sizes, and eat to live. And find things to do that keep you up and off the couch/out of the kitchen.

    I eat what I like, I just be sure to track my meals to stay within my ranges.

    I can't stick to any strict diet. I just try to eat healthier and track mt calories on Spark. Best wishes for a successful journey!

  I am doing the Curves weight loss plan and working with a ditititian also. It is working for me. All the best of luck to you.
