I've officially gone 30 days without soda. When I was in college I went several years without drinking the stuff, but since I've worked in the health care industry (3pm-11pm full time) I've picked the habit back up, and it wasn't pretty. I was drinking upwards of 50oz of soda per night. Regular soda which is bad enough, but then I started drinking diet soda too; and that crap is worse for you than the regular stuff.

I don't really miss it, but I think that's because I've continued to drink coffee with sugar in it too. Now, I need a new challenge but I'll be darned if it'll be giving up coffee. That's not going to happen any time soon, not that it's never gonna happen, but I'm not going to push my luck and give up both things so close to each other.

I was thinking that perhaps I should reward myself in some way for making it a month without sodas, but then I realized I have too much to do today...I suppose my reward will have to be bringing the car to the mechanic and then to get it inspected. Woohoo...

New challenge ideas? Perhaps for the next 30 days I"ll work on drinking 8 cups of water every day...I've done decently well with this, but could do better...
