Yesterday my daughter and I went to the thrift store after she finished her school since they were having 50% off everything. The store was picked over in the books and household items sections, so I didn't find anything there (except for one book), but we did find the following:
3 ladies' belts (2 were leather)
black dress (very simple Talbot's brand) for my daughter
scarf (for my daughter)
Hamlet book (perfect since my husband is reading through it with the kids with books from the library)
vest (for my daughter)
We got it all for $10 (would have been $20 if it wasn't 50% off) and probably would have found more if we didn't have to leave for the teen book club at our local library.
I went by the local mom and pop store near me and got more Kind bars but this time paid 25 cents each. Not bad considering they are much pricier than that at other stores. I got some whole wheat flour for 99 cents, large container of Greek yogurt for $1.49, Horizons organic milk individual packs for 25 cents each, etc.
I finally got online last night to look at the Lowe's Foods flyer (don't get it in the mailbox0 and found out that they are having super doubles (coupons up to $2 are doubled) so scrambled last night with my coupon box and think I'm ready to hit it today.
I missed out on it yesterday since I didn't know about it, but wouldn't have had time anyway with all that I had to get done.
