Busy, busy, busy

I'm getting ready for my cataract surgery. I'm going to be sharing about it here in my blog because i ahve friends on AP who will be having cataract surgery. It's been modernized. Boy back in early 1990's my mom ahd a rough time with her surgery and ahd to be put completely to sleep.

Yesterdays appointment was a talk with the nurse and i signed the forms and questions for my Dr. who will be doing the surgery. He is the one that ordered the blood test that he thought I ahd Myasthenia Gravis and he was correct in his diagnosis.

Today I went to his Lake Oswego office and climbed flipping stairs tog et there. No elevators. The nurse wrote down all the info I ahd given her on my medications that I take. Then I had ultrasound on my eyes and a machine i had to look into about the curvature of the eye. I was pretty nervous about the ultrasound but it actually was nothing. painless. She put tissues around my face after adding 2 nummbing drops in each eye. then my chin went in a rest cup and she put cups over my eyes like an eye cup and flushed saline out of that and did the ultrasound. it took only about 1 minute per eye. Not bad at all. she showed me the graphics and numbers on the paper it means nothing to me but it talks about the eye an the distance between end of eye and retina, etc. I got my prescriptions of 3 drops plus 1 refill. the drops are antibiotics and for inflammation.

Surgery on left eye is Wednesday morning. I will request something to relax me a bit. But i will be awake.

Two people of professional sta tus submitted my name and i received a letter and application package and applied to a position of my county's Housing Authoriety Commissioner. they liked my answers and called me in for an interview. I dd that interview today. It should be interesting. there are Three other people who are being interviewed.

Hoping all of you are having a good week and thank you for your support.
