Last Outdoor Show of the Season
Wednesday, April 24, 2013
This past weekend was our last outdoor show for the season. Man, am I glad! It was 94 degrees and no matter how much water we drank or how much sunscreen we slathered on, we went home baked from the heat. Security for the show was intense, bomb sniffing dogs, pat downs and a lot of police presence. Several people complained that their backpacks were searched. It was understandable after what happened in Boston and we were grateful the police were so diligent.
The grind of setting up for 2 to 3 shows a month has taken a toll. It leaves very little time to be creative, make more product, learn new skills, or work on the new products that I recently started to make. I am very excited to be taking an advance class silver clay class this Friday and make something simply for the joy of it.
