I started Nutrition Tracking last month, today is Day 38! Woo Hoo! There were several things that helped me get started on this streak.
1) I was tired of my weight bouncing between 217 - 224. I was happy having a weight loss and sad when I could see it climbing back up.
2) I hate using a tracker. I knew with the 5% Challenge we would be Nutrition Tracking the next week, so I decided to embrace it and get a head start.
3) I want to be slim more than I want to stay the same!
4) Spark freinds who record their streaks that help them succeed
It was knowing what I didn't want, and knowing I could change if I would commit to doing what I hate doing; knowing in the long run, it would work for me. I could succeed in weight loss.
I blogged about what I was doing and got support from my Spark Friends. When the 5% Challenge - Nutrition Tracking week came up we had a discussion thread about how to use the Spark Tracker. There were great tips. The first few days were a struggle, but in 14 days I was okay with it, and when I eat I want to record it ASAP.
I had to change my attitude and tell myself - You can do it! You can do it! You can do it!
I am applying the attitude change to the daily walk. Till I get it done I am thinking - You can do it! You can do it! You can do it!
