Slept well last night, but it seems like still not enough. Allergies are kicking butt. Although my back feels mostly better from the nerve pain, it is just out there on the edge, and I can feel the shoulder/neck inching their way in, though the low back is not in intense pain (at the moment). It is my last day to lie low before returning to work, and I do intend on doing that.
When we had to get out yesterday late afternoon, we stopped at the grocer and I made a huge amount of healthy choices. I made fresh scallops (baked), fresh cooked spinach, a side salad, and boiled baby potatoes. I also bought strawberries and a number of other fresh ingredients. So last night I made a fresh banana bread substituting yogurt for the eggs, and used oat flour, and an all purpose gluten free flour. I add mini chocolate chips. It came out a little dense, but delicious anyway.
Last night, after making the banana bread, I told my husband I should call my younger son because he always shows up when I make banana bread. Then I decided against it. Not even 15 minutes later, without a phone call, guess who shows up? Yep. My younger son. I asked him if he could smell the banana bread from his apartment. He laughed. I hadn't even called him.
This morning my hubby prepared breakfast. The gluten free waffles were a wash, so we had the banana bread with the bacon he prepared (2 slices each), sliced strawberries, and he had grits with his.
Now, off the computer and time to settle my back and neck.
Have a good middle of the week.
I didn't even try any exercise this morning. I just don't want to jinx the pain button right now. I will do some wall exercise later.
